⊕ This friendly festival is held in the idyllic setting of our Village Green, high on the beautiful Mendip Hills AONB, near Wells in Somerset.  The programme includes a mixture of world class performers and up and coming talent.  We are particularly proud of our work with local youth folk groups in a tie up with Halsway Manor National Centre for The Folk Arts.  The weekend provides great music, and dance, workshops, yoga sessions, club tent, excellent craft and traders in the market square, guided archaeology walks to explore the local Neolithic and Bronze Age monuments, a full programme of entertainment for the children throughout the weekend and much more. ⊕ A high-energy four-day residential event for young people between 11 and 18 years of age, at Glanllyn, the Urdd Residential Centre in Bala.  We offer places to approximately 40 young people.  There are instrumental, vocal and clog dancing lessons during the day, followed by informal sessions, concerts, get-togethers, twmpathau and more in the evenings, with opportunities for the young people to take part in some of the fun outdoor activities which Glan-llyn has to offer, too.  Towards the end of the course, there is also a chance to perform. ⊕  To give you an idea, these were the 2024 details  "With three of Wales’ leading singers – Gwilym Bowen Rhys, Beth Celyn and Gwenan Gibbard.  Three classes are available:   Experienced, those who able to confidently pronounce words in the Welsh language and who are experienced singers.  Intermediate, for those who have less experience with the Welsh language and/or who have had less singing experience.  Beginner, some singing experience but who have none or very little experience with the Welsh language. Building repertoire and fundamental technique, and working on pieces that we’ll sing together in our Ambell i Gân choir.  Also, a variety of option classes.  For the evenings, more informal music-making with singing sessions. Evening instrumental sessions too! We’ll also hold an open singing circle where everyone can take turns to share songs. On the Friday evening we’ll start with a special tutors concert, acoustic and unplugged – folk singing in its natural home! The tutors will share some favourite songs. For the weekend, residential £300, non-residential £200, camping £240.  "
